A day in the life of a manager

You start your day by checking the schedule and reservations so you know what will happen today. You enter Bleyenberg and have a short talk with the General Manager about what to expect this evening. It will be a busy night but you have a good crew so you're up for the job. You make a plan for the evening and do some short briefings with the kitchen, host and hospitality staff before they get going. During your shift, you make sure all your employees make the guests happy with splendid drinks and delicious food. You tell the guests about the rooftop and Blêr - our private karaoke booths in the basement. It's almost closing time. You make sure the team starts to clean up and check what's happening tomorrow because there is always something happening at Bley, and you want to be well prepared. After your shift, you enjoy a nice drink on the roof with colleagues and have a chat with the setting sun in the background.

Key elements of the job

• Manage your operational team
• Communicate with bar managers, hospitality managers, kitchen crew and other departments
  
• Keep an overview on the floor
  
• Train and motivate your team
• Coordinate breaks, diner and closing
  
• Help guest with any questions they might have
  
• Guard quality of service, food and drinks
  
• Work hard, and have fun doing it
  
• Fix hour contract is possible

About you

• At least one year Restaurant Management experience

• Be available weekends, holidays and evenings (at least 3 days a week)
• You don’t stress and know what's going on at all times
• You are motivated and have a sense of responsibility
• You bring fun to the workplace
• You are social and service-oriented
• Knowledge of cocktails is a plus
